Additional Charges

Shipments are subject to an insurance charge calculated on the declared value of the goods.

The shipper is responsible for correctly declaring the value of the goods. Coverage conditions, limits, and exclusions are subject to the terms applicable to the contracted service.

Certain operations may generate charges associated with the entry, processing, handling, or storage of cargo at airport terminals or bonded facilities.

The amount will depend on the terminal involved, type of cargo, weight or volume, and the specific conditions of each operation.

When cargo remains at a terminal, warehouse, or logistics facility for longer than the period included in the service, storage charges may apply.

These charges may arise due to customs clearance delays, pending documentation, customer instructions, or the inability to pick up or deliver the goods.

The amount will depend on the storage location, number of days, weight, volume, and characteristics of the cargo.

Shipments that require additional procedures due to their dimensions, weight, packaging, nature, or handling requirements may be subject to special handling charges.

This may include:

• Repacking or special packaging
• Additional labeling or identification
• Special splitting or consolidation
• Documentation review
• Pallet requests
• Additional services performed at our facilities
• HAZMAT handling
• Issuance or processing of export certificates

International shipments may generate costs associated with the import or export clearance process before customs authorities.

Depending on the country, customs regime, value, and characteristics of the goods, charges may include customs brokerage fees, third-party intervention, duties, taxes, government fees, or other costs related to cargo clearance.

These amounts are not included in the transportation rate, unless expressly stated in the quotation.

Packages that exceed the standard dimensions or weight limits established for the contracted service may require additional handling, space, or equipment.

An additional charge may apply when a package exceeds any of the following limits:

When information originally provided by the shipper needs to be corrected, completed, or reprocessed — including address, consignee information, commercial documentation, or other data required for transportation — additional administrative or operational charges may apply.

During periods of high shipment volumes, increased capacity demand, higher operating costs, or other extraordinary conditions affecting the logistics network, an additional surcharge may apply.

This surcharge may apply to certain import and export services, origins, or destinations.

Depending on the country of origin, postal code, type of service, and applicable regulations, certain freight charges or related services may be subject to VAT.

When applicable, the tax will be included in the invoice in accordance with current regulations.

When a shipment must be returned at the customer's request or due to circumstances attributable to the operation, the costs associated with the return will be passed on to the customer requesting the service.

Depending on the specific characteristics of a shipment, additional charges may arise from services requested by the customer, requirements imposed by authorities, third-party intervention, or extraordinary operational circumstances.
